Details

The Iverna Island Festival is a groundbreaking three-day event celebrating the creativity and contributions of Black Womxn and Women of Colour. To effectively launch this festival, we need a dynamic 15–30 second promotional video for digital billboards across Vancouver. This video should capture the essence of the festival, showcasing its spirit, power, and prestige. The goal is to create a visually compelling piece that draws public attention and inspires curiosity, aligning with the festival's mission of empowerment and celebration. The video will be a key component of a citywide advertising campaign supported by the City of Vancouver, ensuring maximum visibility and impact. Students will have the opportunity to apply their skills in video production, storytelling, and marketing to create a piece that resonates with diverse audiences.

Deliverables

The primary deliverable is a 15–30 second promotional video suitable for digital billboard display. The video should effectively communicate the festival's theme and appeal to a broad audience. Additional deliverables include a storyboard outlining the video's concept and a brief report detailing the creative process and rationale behind the chosen design elements.
