The goal of this project is to help a Toronto-based nonprofit organization strengthen its online presence through a well-planned and sustainable social media strategy. The organization serves a large population of newcomers and has recently been incorporated, making visibility and engagement through platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook critical. Students will help build a content calendar, propose engagement tactics, and recommend tools to streamline and schedule posts. The project will not only boost the organization’s visibility but also equip staff with strategies they can continue using beyond the project timeline.

Deliverables

Conduct a needs assessment of the organization’s current social media presence

Develop a three-month content calendar tailored to upcoming events and seasonal campaigns

Recommend scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite) and provide training on how to use them

Create templates and guidelines for future posts, stories, and engagement activities

Deliver a final presentation with social media best practices and performance metrics tracking methods
