The project focuses on streamlining calendar management, project coordination, and reporting processes. Students will apply their knowledge of business administration and technology to design and implement workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI. By optimizing these processes, the project aims to reduce manual effort and improve the accuracy and timeliness of information available to the executive team. This project provides an opportunity for learners to gain practical experience in process automation and the application of BI tools in a real-world business context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Support: Assist executives with scheduling, email management, document preparation, and meeting coordination.
- Project Management Support: Track project progress, organize timelines, and follow up on action items for key initiatives.
- Process Automation: Develop and refine Power Automate workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in Power BI dashboard creation, tracking key business metrics, and generating reports.
- Communication & Documentation: Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and create process documentation.
- Technology & Systems Support: Help streamline executive operations by using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and task management tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Currently enrolled in a business, administration, project management, or technology-related post-secondary program.
- Project Coordination Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint); exposure to Power Automate, Power BI, or other automation tools is an asset.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and suggest process improvements.
- Professionalism & Confidentiality: Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative in supporting the executive team.
Providing specialized, in-depth knowledge and general industry insights for a comprehensive understanding.
Sharing knowledge in specific technical skills, techniques, methodologies required for the project.
Direct involvement in project tasks, offering guidance, and demonstrating techniques.
Providing access to necessary tools, software, and resources required for project completion.
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.
