Details

Transition Salt Spring is seeking to consolidate community input and feedback regarding the Salt Spring Island Official Community Plan (OCP). The goal is to draft a comprehensive report that reflects civil society organizations and their perspectives on meeting housing needs and protecting local ecosystems, and serves as the official submission to the OCP review process being conducted by the local government. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their skills in research, qualitative data analysis, and report writing. The team will gather and analyze community feedback, ensuring that diverse voices are represented. The project aims to synthesize this information into a coherent document that aligns with the community's vision and priorities. This task is crucial for ensuring that the community's needs and aspirations are effectively communicated to policymakers.

Deliverables

The primary deliverable is a well-organized report that consolidates community feedback on the Salt Spring Island OCP. This report should include an executive summary, detailed analysis of community input, and recommendations for the OCP review process. The deliverables must be clear, concise, and reflective of the community's diverse perspectives.
