Al Shifa Pharmacy Digital Revamp – WordPress & eCommerce Integration

Project goal:

• The objective of this project is to redesign and enhance Al Shifa Pharmacy’s existing website to improve user experience, accessibility, and eCommerce functionality. Students will work collaboratively using Agile methodologies to plan, design, and implement a modern website on WordPress integrated with WooCommerce. Key activities include creating intuitive navigation for supplement purchases, implementing a secure prescription upload feature, and ensuring compliance with WCAG accessibility standards. By the end of the project, students will deliver a fully functional, accessible, and mobile-responsive website that better serves our clients in Toronto and the general public.

Project outcomes and deliverables:

• A redesigned and fully functional website for Al Shifa Pharmacy built using WordPress and WooCommerce
• A secure and user-friendly prescription upload form integrated into the site
• A streamlined eCommerce section for supplement browsing and purchasing
• A mobile-responsive design with intuitive navigation and clean layout
• Implementation of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards across all pages
• A working checkout process with proper payment gateway configuration
• A short user guide or admin manual for managing content and orders
• A presentation/demo of the completed website and key features to stakeholders
• A brief reflection report outlining Agile development practices used and lessons learned
