research erosion control natural hazard mitigation coastal development hazardsStudents will asses the risks of increased shoreline erosion on coastal communities and the nature-based mitigation techniques used.
Risks analyzed can include those relating to homeowners who live on the coast, community structures such as roads, public parks, and cemeteries, and also the risk of restoration workers who put nature-based techniques into place to slow the rates of erosion.
Our restoration team here at Helping Nature Heal Inc. works directly on eroding slopes throughout eastern Canada, working to reduce erosion and help people and communities safeguard their property.
Expected Outcomes:

-Research the benefits and risks associated with employing nature-based techniques to reduce this erosion
Expected Deliverables:
- A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
- A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations
