The festival aims to be a transformative cultural event, emphasizing rest, resistance, and radical joy. Graduate-level learners are invited to contribute to the strategic buildout and pre-launch development of this festival. The project involves designing an organizational structure that aligns with the festival's mission, identifying and securing partnerships and sponsorships, and supporting grant writing efforts. Additionally, learners will assist in the logistical planning of a legacy coffee table book that will be unveiled at the event. This project offers an opportunity to apply strategic planning, organizational design, and project management skills in a real-world setting.
The project deliverables include a comprehensive organizational design plan that aligns with the festival's mission and values. Learners will also develop a partnership and sponsorship strategy, including a list of potential partners and sponsors. Additionally, a draft grant proposal will be prepared to support funding efforts. Finally, a logistical plan for the production and launch of the festival's legacy coffee table book will be created. These deliverables will provide a strategic framework for the successful pre-launch development of the Iverna Island Festival.
🎯 Learner Deliverables May Include:
- A comprehensive festival strategy report outlining operational recommendations, growth modeling, and pre-launch milestones
- A working grant prospect list + contributions to draft applications and language tailored to institutional funders
- A proposed organizational flow for managing incoming sponsorships, including deck revisions, follow-up structures, and deliverable tracking
- A partnership development strategy focused on brand alignment, lead generation, and funding tier creation
- Planning outline for the production and monetization strategy of Iverna Island’s 500-copy commemorative coffee table book
- Optional: sustainability or energy-use considerations for festival infrastructure (leveraging learner expertise)
