Details

The Feminine Intelligence Agency (FIA) is a research lab and design studio focused on preventing psychological exploitation and increasing agency for women and other marginalized groups. We create tools, simulations, and peer-to-peer systems that help users recognize manipulative behavior, build emotional resilience, and develop real-world discernment skills. Our interdisciplinary approach combines psychology, data science, narrative design, and social justice to address the hidden patterns behind coercive control, abusive dynamics, and relationship fraud. FIA is not just a tech company or wellness brand—we’re building a cognitive infrastructure for collective safety and self-determination.

This project focuses on designing a peer-to-peer community support experience for women navigating emotional abuse, manipulation, or social isolation. Interns will help create a safe, structured space that is trauma-informed, inclusive, and accessible—particularly for women who are neurodivergent, queer, or from marginalized communities. The project emphasizes practical, beginner-friendly work, such as outlining user flows, defining clear community roles, and writing protocols that empower participants to act without needing permission. Optional role-play scenarios may be included to help members practice responding to difficult conversations around identity, class, and conflict resolution.

Deliverables

Deliverables and Outputs

  • A visual user flow showing how members join, ask questions, offer support, and navigate the community
  • Drafted community participation protocols (how to listen, respond, escalate, and step back)
  • A simple guidebook for peer roles and responsibilities
  • Written contingencies and action steps for what to do when someone is in distress or an incident occurs
  • Optional: lightweight training scripts or scenario templates for group role-plays on giving/receiving feedback safely
