social media campaigns social media content social media management social media marketingCaring Transitions Twin Cities East helps families navigate downsizing, estate sales, and senior transitions with compassion and professionalism. As we continue to serve the local community, we’re looking to establish a stronger digital presence—starting with social media.
In this project, you'll be helping us build and launch a foundational social media strategy. We’re starting from scratch, so this is a great opportunity to work on real-world brand-building, planning, and execution. Your work will directly impact how families in our area discover and connect with our services.
- Create a content strategy for Facebook and Instagram that reflects our brand tone and values
- Design and schedule initial posts (using Canva, Meta Business Suite, or similar tools)
- Recommend a simple posting plan moving forward (including platform, frequency, and content mix)
- Provide ideas for growing our following and increasing engagement
- If time allows, explore video or reel content ideas using our auction and estate sale inventory
The goal of this project is to help Caring Transitions Twin Cities East establish a professional and consistent presence on social media. By the end of the project, students will deliver:
30-Day Social Media Content Plan
- A calendar outlining platform(s), posting frequency, content types, and themes
- Recommendations for hashtags, tone, and best practices tailored to our audience (families, seniors, adult children, estate sale shoppers)
Basic Brand Guidelines for Social
- A short document that outlines how to keep our content consistent moving forward (voice, image style, post types, etc.)
Growth & Engagement Strategy
- Simple tactics to help us grow our followers and increase engagement (e.g., how to use Stories, Reels, community groups, etc.)
(Optional based on timeline):
- A few ideas for how to turn our auction photos or service stories into reels or short-form video content
- The work should be actionable, easy to implement, and tailored to our team’s comfort level with social media tools. Students will be given creative freedom and encouraged to think like strategists for a small, local service business.
