The Interest Rate Widget is a strategic tool designed to enhance My Broker Pro's CRM offerings by increasing website conversion rates and improving client retention. The previous team established its potential impact, and now the focus shifts to preparing for its successful launch. This project aims to finalize the rollout strategy, develop a seamless onboarding experience, and create compelling marketing materials to drive adoption among Canadian mortgage brokers. The widget is intended to facilitate conversations, build trust, and convert website traffic into clients. By making the widget "plug-and-play," the project seeks to ensure that brokers can easily integrate and utilize the tool to its full potential.

Deliverables

Students will:

  • Review the previous student proposal and recommendations for the Interest Rate Widget
  • Refine and finalize the widget onboarding experience, including copy, visuals, and tech handoff materials
  • Create broker-facing marketing assets such as landing pages, videos, FAQs, and setup guides
  • Help build out a simple, conversion-focused web funnel or sequence to generate leads and direct traffic into the widget experience
  • Draft support materials and answer bank for internal team or broker users (e.g., how to embed, what to say on a sales call, how to train their team)
  • Build out the performance tracking plan so we can measure adoption, engagement, and conversions


By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • An understanding of how digital tools (widgets, calculators, integrations) drive growth in service-based businesses
  • Confidence in building out a full adoption plan from marketing, onboarding, support, and measurement
  • Experience writing clear technical and promotional content for a business audience
  • Awareness of how small product features can create big value when tied to a strategic user experience

Bonus steps would include:

  • Creating a demo landing page or walkthrough video for the widget
  • Building a FAQ bank or live help script for support team use
  • Recommending widget add-ons for future phases (calculators, rate alerts, personalization)
  • Interviewing one or two brokers about what would make them more likely to use it


Final deliverables should include:

  • A fully designed and written onboarding flow or setup guide for brokers using the widget
  • A marketing asset package including at least:
  • Landing page or course-style walkthrough
  • Email or ad copy to promote widget use
  • Broker-facing one-pager
  • A mapped conversion flow or funnel (how a lead interacts with the widget and becomes a client)
  • A performance metrics tracking plan (what gets tracked, how often, and why it matters)
