The project aims to support the launch of a B2B affiliate partnership between My Broker Pro and Finmo by developing comprehensive educational, marketing, and onboarding systems. The primary goal is to attract and convert mortgage brokers already using Finmo by clearly demonstrating how My Broker Pro can enhance their business operations. Students will engage in creating compelling content, designing an intuitive onboarding experience, and developing performance measurement tools to ensure the success of this affiliate campaign. This initiative targets mortgage brokers across Canada and seeks to validate the potential for a broader affiliate program that could drive long-term growth for My Broker Pro. The project provides an opportunity for students to apply their classroom knowledge in marketing, communication, and project management to a real-world scenario, enhancing their practical skills and understanding of affiliate marketing strategies.

Deliverables

Students will:

  • Review the original student proposal for the Finmo partnership and understand the existing plan
  • Refine and build out a co-branded broker onboarding experience (setup guides, welcome materials, FAQs)
  • Develop the sales and marketing content to promote the partnership:
  • Landing page content
  • Email campaigns
  • Social post templates
  • One-pager or video walkthrough
  • Build a clear conversion funnel and lead flow, showing how brokers move from Finmo to MBP
  • Assist with tracking metrics—what gets measured, how it connects to the affiliate’s performance, and how it impacts our business
  • Support the affiliate tracking process (referral links, CRM tagging, commissions, etc.) if relevant


By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • A clear understanding of how B2B affiliate marketing works in the fintech space
  • The ability to create a cohesive onboarding and sales funnel for a specific user group
  • Practical experience building content and systems that can go live in a real business
  • Confidence presenting a launch plan to business owners and stakeholders


Bonus steps would include:

  • Creating a broker-facing demo video or onboarding tutorial
  • Designing downloadable co-branded templates or guides
  • Writing content for a follow-up email sequence or referral drip
  • Mapping a tiered commission system or long-term affiliate expansion plan


Final deliverables should include:

  • A fully mapped affiliate broker onboarding experience
  • Co-branded marketing assets including:
  • Landing page copy or wireframe
  • Sample emails
  • A one-pager or sales presentation for the Finmo audience
  • A conversion funnel or campaign flow with touchpoints and calls-to-action
  • A reporting or performance tracking plan (e.g., affiliate CRM tagging, KPIs)
