Details

The Outdoor Council of Canada seeks to enhance accessibility and understanding of outdoor program certifications by digitalizing a comprehensive mindmap. Currently, certifications for outdoor programs across Canada are scattered and difficult to navigate, posing challenges for educators, program coordinators, and participants. The goal of this project is to create a user-friendly digital mindmap that consolidates all relevant certifications, providing a clear and organized overview. This digital tool will serve as a valuable resource for those involved in outdoor education and training, facilitating easier decision-making and planning. The project will involve researching existing certifications, categorizing them, and designing an intuitive digital interface. Learners will apply their knowledge of digital tools, data organization, and user experience design to create a functional and visually appealing mindmap.

Deliverables

The primary deliverable is a digital mindmap that effectively organizes and displays certifications for outdoor programs across Canada. This includes a visually engaging interface that allows users to easily navigate and understand the certification landscape. Additional deliverables include a comprehensive report detailing the research process, categorization criteria, and design choices made during the project. The final product should be accessible, user-friendly, and ready for implementation by the Outdoor Council of Canada.
