This project invites students to design a crowdfunding campaign strategy for Happy Cramps, a wellness startup launching a transdermal menstrual cramp relief patch. The goal is to help the founder prepare a clear go-to-market crowdfunding approach tailored to a Gen Z and millennial audience in the GTA. Students will develop the positioning, value proposition, campaign outline, and a high-level promotional plan that will help guide the founder's eventual campaign execution. This project focuses on strategy, messaging, and campaign structure only — the technical tasks of video production or graphic design will not be included.

Deliverables

Conduct a comparative analysis of 2–3 successful crowdfunding campaigns in the wellness or femtech space

Identify a suitable crowdfunding platform and outline a high-level launch timeline

Develop target audience personas and value proposition messaging

Create a campaign strategy deck including:

  • Campaign objectives and positioning
  • Draft campaign outline (title, tier structure, and reward examples)
  • Recommended promotional channels (with rationale)

Draft one sample email and two social media post examples to demonstrate tone and style

Final Deliverables:

  • A campaign strategy report (max 10 slides)
  • 2–3 sample promotional content pieces (text only)
  • Summary of key success metrics to track
