This project aims to empower a team of students to execute a comprehensive social media marketing campaign for Where.a.bouts, focusing on rapid user acquisition and brand awareness. Students will gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, data analysis, and community engagement, all while directly contributing to the growth of a promising local-to-global shopping platform. Goal 1: Content Creation & Curation:Tasks: Develop a content calendar aligned with the "Local Love," "Shop Anywhere," "Community Connection," and "Deal & Discovery" content pillars. Create engaging Reels, TikTok videos, Facebook posts, and Stories. Curate and manage user-generated content. Produce high-quality product photography and videography. Research and implement trending sounds and challenges into tiktok and reels. Deliverables: A comprehensive content calendar for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. The company has recently introduced a "Pay & Reserve" feature designed to drive in-store sales for local small businesses, popup and market vendors. The project focuses on creating a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the app and its new feature. The goal is to leverage digital marketing techniques, social media campaigns, and user feedback to enhance visibility and user interaction. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of marketing, user experience, and data analysis to real-world scenarios, ultimately contributing to the app's growth and success. Web-App Development
Our company has developed a mobile app based marketplace called where.a.bouts, that connects Shoppers (users) to local Small Businesses (our customers) that have physical outlets (i.e. brick & mortar store, popup or market stalls). The goal is to make it easy for shoppers to find products and services from small businesses whilst also helping the small business increase in-store/in-person sales for their business. where.a.bouts enables users to find products and services from small businesses 'near them' via a geo-location feature. Small business owners create accounts and create estores to showcase their products or services, users can browse and find what they need but they have to go in-store/in-person to collect their purchase. We are in the process of implementing a payment gateway to allow users to pay and reserve products and then pick-up.
