Building Better Mindsets is dedicated to helping caregivers, educators, support workers and child care professionals prioritize their own well-being so they can better support the children in their care. We believe that children thrive when cared for by emotionally regulated, self-aware adults, and our workshops provide the tools to make that possible.
Through creative, self-reflective workshops, we guide caregivers in managing stress, building emotional resilience, and fostering a growth mindset—ultimately enhancing their ability to create nurturing and emotionally safe environments for children.
Our work has made an impact across Northwestern Ontario, including Fort William First Nation, Atikokan, Fort Frances, Pic Mobert Reserve, Rocky Bay Reserve, Thunder Bay, and beyond. Built on word-of-mouth recommendations, our programs are recognized for fostering connection, creativity, and personal growth among caregivers and organizations.
As we expand, we are looking to enhance our online presence, amplify our reach, and establish a strong, recognizable brand—so more caregivers can benefit from our transformative approach.

The primary goal of this project is to create a robust sales and business development strategy for Building Better Mindsets , a rural startup dedicated to empowering individuals through the transformative power of art. With no current online presence, we aim to establish a recognizable brand, generate leads, and effectively connect with clients and organizations who share our mission of fostering personal growth and excellence. Students will tackle various aspects of business development to help position Building Better Mindsets as a leader in creative wellness. Key Activities: Market Analysis: Research and identify potential target markets, including organizations, communities, and individuals aligned with our mission. Assess the competitive landscape to uncover opportunities for differentiation and growth. Sales Process Optimization: Develop strategies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency in client outreach and engagement. Recommend tools and processes suitable for a resource-conscious startup. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Design a CRM strategy to build and maintain strong relationships, incorporating personalized communication plans and client retention initiatives. Product/Service Launch Planning: Assist in planning the launch of new art-based workshops and services, including strategies for market positioning, pricing, and promotion. Propose creative methods to reach rural and underserved communities. Brand and Lead Generation: Develop strategies to establish an online presence, including branding, social media, and digital marketing approaches. Identify lead-generation opportunities tailored to our niche and rural location. Sales Training Development: Design a training program to enhance the skills of our sales team, focusing on prospecting, negotiation, and closing techniques.
Create & Execute a Successful Marketing Funnel
The main goal for the project is to create a strategic marketing funnel for Building Better Mindsets to generate qualified leads and convert them into purchasing customers. This will involve several different steps for the team, including: - Conducting a thorough analysis of the target market and customer demographics. - Developing a comprehensive marketing strategy to attract potential leads. - Implementing lead generation tactics such as content marketing, social media advertising, and email campaigns. - Creating a system for lead qualification and nurturing. - Designing a sales process to convert qualified leads into customers. - Implementing tracking and analytics to measure the effectiveness of the marketing funnel.
Social Media Engagement and Growth Strategy
The main goal for the project is to create engaging social media content, develop an engagement strategy, and grow the following for Building Better Mindsets. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including: - Researching the target audience and understanding their preferences and interests. - Creating a content calendar with engaging and relevant posts for different social media platforms. - Developing a strategy to increase engagement through likes, comments, and shares. - Utilizing analytics to track the growth of the following and the effectiveness of the engagement strategy. - Collaborating with the company to align the content and engagement strategy with the overall mission and values of Building Better Mindsets.
