Brooklyn En Vogue: Fashion for Social Change
This project invites learners to design a runway collection for Brooklyn En Vogue, a fashion show that emphasizes social change through storytelling and culture. The goal is to provide emerging fashion designers with real-world experience in creating a collection that not only showcases their design skills but also communicates a powerful narrative. Learners will focus on integrating themes of social impact and cultural stories into their designs, reflecting the mission of the show co-produced by the Bonello Foundation and Politically Urban. The project encourages collaboration with a diverse team of creatives, enhancing the learners' ability to work in a dynamic environment. By participating, learners will bridge the gap between fashion design and community storytelling, gaining valuable insights into the fashion industry's role in societal change.
