Optimizing Outpatient Care for Chronic Disease Management
The project aims to enhance the efficiency of clinical workflows in outpatient care settings, specifically focusing on chronic disease management. Chronic diseases often require frequent monitoring and follow-up, which can strain existing healthcare resources and impact patient outcomes. The goal is to identify weaknesses and inefficiencies in current workflows and propose actionable improvements. By leveraging classroom knowledge in healthcare management and process optimization, learners will analyze existing processes, gather data, and suggest enhancements that can lead to better patient care and resource utilization. The project will focus on a specific chronic disease, such as lung or brain cancer, to ensure a targeted approach. Learners will work closely with QiiQ Health to understand the current challenges and develop practical solutions.

Market Research
Market Research We are a very small startup doing something that is quite groundbreaking - delivering a Virtual Assistant for healthcare workers in acute care. That is, we are building something that will eventually support ER physicians like Jarvis supports Tony Stark. The current version of the product is more modest than Jarvis, but Rome wasn't built in a day... As a small startup, we are seeking approaches to awareness-raising that won't break the bank. Our current pipeline came almost entirely through people who learned what we're doing and advocated for us with their contacts. These relationships are difficult to find, and they take a long time to foster. We need to get noticed by influencers! This comes down to storytelling about us, our work, our product, and the opportunity for improvement that we're offering. This project is a great chance for students to learn about: Healthcare operations and the causes of some of the brutal dysfunction plaguing hospitals and therefore the public how workflow technology is likely to evolve in coming years, and how it will impact hospital operations tech marketing in healthcare, and what needs to change to accommodate the impending transformation You can help us develop our new strategy , which will certainly change: our website our company and product videos (which both really suck badly!) how we approach the industry, in fresh new ways We need a plan for collateral design, development, and distribution that moves the needle without requiring massive capital investment. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ As a BONUS, you could help with our pricing, which strongly relates to the value drivers that underpin the economics of a functioning hospital and emergency department . In following, we want to better understand the costs and revenues pertaining to the care delivery process. What does it cost to maintain a hospital bed? What potential revenues can be realized on a hospital bed? What is the profit margin in an occupied hospital bed? What affects that profit margin? What incentives can be used to increase that margin - without destroying the business model, or without asking too much of a public system? We need some clever students to unpack these costs and incomes, as well how we might improve the visibility of our brand, by presenting our solution and pricing in a way that gets noticed. ___________________________________________________________________________________ This is a chance to do something really cool, in an industry that is not. At least not yet!

Competitive Analysis - AI Scribes for Emergency Medicine
Overall Objective: HELP FIX EMERGENCY MEDICINE, which is in a state of crisis all around the globe. Project Goal: Illuminate the unique value proposition that QiiQ Healthcare brings to emergency medicine, through our entry-level product, QiiQ Scribe . Background: AI is slamming into the healthcare industry with incredible force. Investor capital is almost blindly following. This is creating a "perfect storm" at the collision point: "big tech" leaders are "whooping it up" as they announce dramatic new launches of AI firepower that can be sprayed at almost any problem doctors and nurses are getting part of the message, learning that "things could be much better" for clinical workflows, and thus their work experience doctors and nurses are also frightened that this "AI monster" will first lie to them about the facts, then later - take their jobs CIO's are hearing all of this, and are yet charged with the URGENT task of engaging vendors to deploy AI-powered solutions that will solve the productivity crisis that exists in every corner of the industry As we see it, AI should not change the fundamentals of great healthcare: trained professionals taking care of those who need help. And our job, simply, is to take care of those trained professionals. We have chosen to make the emergency department our focus. In turn, this has meant that we become expert in the challenges specific to emergency department operations. And wow - emergency medicine is uniquely messy and difficult - in ways that family practice and other specialties of medicine are not. QiiQ is positioning to be THE tech solution for the emergency department, allowing doctors and nurses get their administrative (clerical) work done with the help of our solutions, so they can spend more time focusing on direct patient care at the bedside. However, in the cacophony of noise around AI, all the tech vendors that are packaging and selling " AI scribes " are making the same pronouncements of an efficiency revolution powered by AI that will "reduce burnout and improve healthcare." Problem is, different specialties in medicine have different workflow challenges. One size does NOT fit all! And many of the tech vendors (who are better known, more trusted, and more capitalized than we are), are selling their AI scribes into emergency departments, even tho those products are not built for emergency medicine. We must be able to clearly distinguish the differences between the QiiQ Scribe product and the countless competitive products that we are selling against. We want to effectively and honestly influence how our target audience(s) perceive the QiiQ Scribe product against its competitive products. This will give us needed advantage in the battle for awareness and trust, both of which are absolutely critical to achieving our ultimate objective. The call to action for our DTTP team is thus: Familiarizing yourselves with our company, products, and target market Understand the brutal and mysterious problem space we've chosen Review our current competitive matrix and it's context for our business Deepen the matrix - expanding the list of capabilities and features relevant to product value, and distinguishing what various vendors have versus what QiiQ Scribe has Summarizing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending how our company can differentiate itself through products / services and messaging.
