Details

The PD Avengers organization seeks to honor and support Care Partners and Caregivers of individuals with Parkinson's Disease during November's caregiver appreciation month. The goal is to design engaging virtual, social, and in-real-life (IRL) experiences that recognize the invaluable contributions of these caregivers. This project aims to create meaningful interactions that foster community, provide respite, and offer educational resources. Students will apply their knowledge of event planning, digital media, and community engagement to develop a cohesive experience plan. The project will involve researching caregiver needs, brainstorming creative ideas, and designing a series of activities that can be easily implemented. The focus will be on creating experiences that are accessible, inclusive, and impactful, ensuring that caregivers feel appreciated and supported.

Deliverables

The deliverables for this project include a comprehensive experience plan detailing virtual, social, and IRL activities for caregiver appreciation. Students will provide a schedule of events, a list of necessary resources, and a marketing strategy to promote the experiences. Additionally, they will create digital content such as graphics or videos to enhance the virtual component. The final deliverable will be a presentation summarizing the project and its potential impact on the caregiver community.
