mind mapping vocabulary course development online course development desktop publishing teaching online teaching spanish languageHello, Content Creator! My name is Julie Thompson. My company, ESEN Translation Services, under the sponsorship of the East New York Restoration Local Development Corporation, launched a free five-lesson introductory Spanish course in June, open to community residents. The students really enjoyed the class. However, I had not had a student handbook for them to use. After the class, in preparation for future classes, I did work one up, for their exclusive use.
I'd like to have you take the handbook that I provided them with, and turn it into a ESEN-branded handbook, with cutout exercises, puzzles, etc. I would provide you with a confidential copy of the handbook that I've already designed.
In order to complete the course, learners must:
a) learn the Spanish alphabet
b) learn how to greet Spanish speakers and introduce themselves
c) learn the numbers 1-20 in Spanish
d) learn the names of colors in Spanish
e) learn basic Spanish vocabulary, such as personal pronouns, question words, nationalities, occupations
f) learn how to build vocabulary for specific situations, such as going to the doctor, shopping at a Spanish foods store, going to a Spanish cuisine restaurant
g) learn the names of family relationships in Spanish
h) learn how to tell time in Spanish
I will provide the basic curriculum that the content creator will need to complete the project. However, the content creator will be free to use his/her own desktop publishing tools to complete the project as a .doc or .pdf deliverable.
