Details

Mount Pleasant Islamic Centre is seeking to enhance its administrative efficiency by transitioning from paper-based records to a digital database system. The current reliance on physical documents has led to challenges in data retrieval, storage, and management, which can hinder the Centre's operational effectiveness. This project aims to digitize and organize existing paper documents, ensuring that all records are accurately captured and systematically stored in a digital format. By streamlining administrative tasks, the Centre anticipates improved data management efficiency and easier access to information. The project will involve scanning, categorizing, and inputting data into a user-friendly database, allowing for seamless data retrieval and management. This initiative will provide learners with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of database management and digital archiving in a real-world setting.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a fully digitized and organized database of the Centre's administrative records. This will involve the creation of a digital archive that is easily navigable and searchable. Additionally, a comprehensive report detailing the digitization process, including any challenges encountered and solutions implemented, will be provided. The final deliverable will be a user manual for the database, ensuring that Centre staff can efficiently manage and update records moving forward.
