In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Tap into Emerging Tech Talent: Partner with TRU Computer Science Students
Our learners are 2nd and 3rd Diploma and Degree Computer Science and Information Technology International students from Thompson Rivers University. They may have completed core academic coursework in areas such as: Programming (Java, Python, C++) Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Database management (SQL, MySQL) Systems analysis and design Software engineering principles Networking and cybersecurity foundations UI/UX fundamentals Cloud computing and data structures They bring problem-solving skills, adaptability, and experience working on collaborative, real-world projects through their coursework. Many students have also completed personal, volunteer, or academic projects in GitHub environments.

Transforming Ideas into Web Apps: Empowering Businesses - S25

In today’s era, many individuals and businesses benefit from having an online presence that helps with identity branding and/or to promote their services and products. In this project, students who are on their way to become professional front-end developers will design and develop a variety of web applications that help you satisfy your clients’ business needs. This course is part of the Frontend Development certificate program.

Analytics Capstone Spring 2025
HAGC
This capstone project is part of the Business Analytics (BAPG), Health Analytics (HAGC), and Crime Analytics (CAGC) graduate certificate programs at Cambrian College. The students will participate in various projects involving different types of data, ranging from qualitative data gathering, quantitative data and analysis, technical projects, or other projects that align with their skillsets. This could include but is not limited to large and/or complex data, gathering data, conducting program evaluation, development and deployment of surveys, help with funding applications, create dashboards and analysis, and work with various types of data to support decisions using analytics in a wide array of industries. Students can research, apply analytical models, methodologies, and tools learned in the program to analyze data. Faculty mentors will work with students to ensure the capstone project reflects, and encompasses, best practices for big data analytics and project management.

IT Business Analysis
Our students have the skills to create and manage organizational process change as well as an understanding of how to gather, document, and communicate stakeholder requirements. Students are well suited to recommend and evaluate solutions, provide quality assurance criteria, perform some data modeling and project management. We are looking to create a first-time mentorship opportunity for our students by pairing them with a skilled business analyst at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.
Recent experiences
Data Science and Analytics (University of Calgary)
My learners are equipped to tackle projects in machine learning and statistical learning, having gained proficiency in Python and R. They have engaged with several hands-on courses covering machine learning, statistical data analysis, SQL and database management, Tableau dashboard creation, data engineering, and big data. I am seeking internship projects that will help them apply their skills as part of their data science master’s program. Please note that learners will register for their internship between May and August 2025. If you wish to start working with them during this period, it would be ideal.

Please read the details of the link below completely and follow the steps specified there to submit proposals. Given the high number of requests, requests submitted on Riipen will not be reviewed. All details and questions are discussed in the document below. Program Overview and Partnership Invitation Document This program has been run for 17 cohorts over 7 years and with 200+ partners. We work with 30+ partners every term. We will not be able to respond to messages on Riipen. Quick summary: students take this course to develop a software application (web, mobile or desktop) for various use cases. Previous examples include mobile apps for finding travelers in a specific community and web-based application for connecting a non-profit to volunteers. If the project information interests you, please go through the steps mentioned in the document. After reviewing 300+ proposals, we have created a thorough process to streamline the process for all involved. We will not be able to accept requests on Riipen as the proposals need to be chosen by the students when the term begins.
MBA Business Consulting Project (Simon Fraser University)

This experience offers your organization the opportunity to collaborate with a team of five MBA students who are eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world business challenges. These students are equipped with skills in competitive analysis, business strategy, risk assessment, and market research. Over the course of 125 hours, they will work to address a specific business opportunity or problem in areas such as marketing, strategy, talent management, IT strategy, new product development, or foreign market entry. The goal is to provide actionable insights and strategies that can be implemented to enhance your organization's operations or market position.
Diversity in the Workplace --Winter 2025
MGHC23
Teams of 4-5 business students enrolled in an elective course on Workplace Diversity will work together on an workplace problem of equity and inclusion while providing culturally and industry-specific solutions. Projects can involve testing for bias in a hiring platform that a company may use for selection, how to communicate with a diverse client base (via social media posts, public service announcements, infographics), training programs for reducing sexual or racial harassment, or strategies to reduce prejudice or bias in the workplace.
