Bring on one or more students from the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at Penn State University to be your virtual interns! Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.
Students are available for a minimum of 67 hours of placement that can take place anytime between August 24 to December 11. Weekly hours can be set up individually with each company. Students can start working on the projects as soon as an agreement has been reached between the school and company.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.
Engagement between students and sponsors is customizable, with a one-hour per week recommendation to ensure project progress. All students work virtually so sponsor/company locations are flexible!

Project Examples
Requirements
Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.
Students have the opportunity to apply classroom concepts to the challenges of business life as they gain valuable, relevant work experience as an intern student within your organization. Students are available from the following degree programs and majors:
Public Relations & Advertising:
- Current/updated media lists for company coverage and proactive outreach
- Complete press/media clippings file
- Current internal/external contact information
- Competitor research and media trends
- Any other project as assigned based on current company needs

- Increased engagement/followers for appropriate platforms
- Data Analytics
- Current competitor analysis re: social/digital presence
