Details

My Tiny Home Hub is a fast-growing alternative housing company delivering stylish, affordable prefab homes to customers across the United States, Canada, and other emerging markets. Our signature homes are manufactured in China and shipped directly to each buyer, but as demand increases, so do the logistical challenges and costs tied to international delivery, customs, and customer satisfaction.

This project invites student consultants to help us build a smarter, more scalable international logistics strategy. Learners will analyze our current fulfillment workflow—from factory handoff to final delivery—and identify opportunities to reduce shipping costs, streamline customs and import procedures, and improve delivery reliability across multiple countries.

Key goals of the project include:

  • Mapping the current supply chain from Chinese factory to end customer
  • Benchmarking international shipping options and cost models (e.g. DDP vs DDU)
  • Recommending improvements in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and last-mile logistics
  • Evaluating vendor partnerships and proposing reliable carrier or 3PL options in North America
  • Building a phased expansion roadmap for global shipping (including Africa, Australia, UK, and more)

By focusing on the international segment of our business, this project gives learners the opportunity to apply knowledge of global logistics, supply chain strategy, and cross-border fulfillment in a high-growth, real-world context.

Deliverables

Deliverables:
